2023
Montepulciano

Sierra Foothills

This complex wine has the classic Earthy flavors that Montepulciano is known for but with amazing red fruit notes shining through. It has both firm tannins and smooth acids allowing it to pair with a wide range of foods. The complexity comes from blending two vineyards of Montepulciano. One of those vineyard's crop was co-fermented with a small amount of Arneis (a white Italian varietal) to help accentuate the fruitiness.

Tasting Notes

2024-08-17

We've tasted this Montepulciano a couple of times before and it really is starting to shine...and just in time! We have the Great Varietal Show coming up and want to debut this wine at that event. This version definitely lives up to Monte's reputation for being a very food friendly wine. It's got everything needed to balance a good meal: fruit, tannins and acids all in just the right amount.
