About Us
We started our winery because we wanted to provide a different experience: different grapes, different winemaking styles, different blends and a different level of interaction with our customers. We seek out small lots of interesting grapes from vineyards in Amador County and surrounding areas. By interesting, we mean grape varietals that most people never heard of, let alone tasted. Of course, we make wines from more recognized varietals too. We just do them differently.
We're the first to admit that we're not for everyone. We are for the more adventurous wine lover who seeks out something new and novel. We're also for those who want to be involved in the wines they drink. We want to include our club members in the decision making process and allow them to help shape our wines of the future.

2023 Falanghina
El Dorado County
Falanghina is one of the noble white wine varietals originating from the south of Italy. This Falanghina is full-bodied, rich and with some mineral character. The aromas are of herbs, almonds and citrus. Its balanced acidity allows it to pair nicely with a wide range of foods from seafood to chicken and pork.

2022 Vermentino
Yolo County
We hand picked, manually crushed and fermented our 2022 Vermentino on the skins for 6 days to create an "orange wine". It's a rich, full bodied wine with bold fruit and soft tannins are coupled with lush coconut and banana aromatics to make this unique expression of the grape.

2023 Barbera
Fiddletown
Aaron provided a sample of this 'old world' style Barbera and Shane knew we had to do it as a varietal. The long, cool growing season of 2023 made this Barbera fresh and vibrant, with bright fruit and mouth filling acidity. Enjoyable at red temperatures or chill it a bit for more refreshment.

2022 Mystery
Amador County
Mystery is our red blend created each year by our top-tier wine club members. Our 2022 Mystery blend is a wonderfully balanced and food-friendly wine. Supple tannins come from Petite Sirah and vibrant acidity from Barbera. Syrah contributes its aroma of earth and fresh berries. It's a great accompaniment to red sauce Italian dishes and anything creamy.

2022 Temprano
Sierra Foothills
Temprano means 'early' in Spanish. It's a rustic blend of old-school varietals from the Iberian peninsula. Whole cluster, manually crushed Tinta Amarela and Grenache were co-fermented then blended with a field blend (and cofermented) of Tempranillo and Grenache to create a fresh, fruity wine with complex aromatics and vibrant tannins.

Robust Reds
2022 Conspiracy
Sierra Foothills
Conspiracy is our annual 'uniquely us' robust red blend. For our 2022 blend, we used whole cluster and manually crushed Aglianico combined with a rich and spicy Zinfandel. The result is a full bodied, highly aromatic and very complex wine with ample tannins and black cherry notes.

2022 Tannat
El Dorado County
Our 2022 Tannat is a totally different expression than the 2021, with great fruit intensity, softer tannins and balanced acidity. Tannats are know to be age worthy wines, but despite its youth, this wine is drinking well now. It has dark fruit and a rich, full body

2022 Touriga
Sierra Foothills
Touriga is gifted with rich body, full tannins and bright fruit with aromas of blackberries and sage. We blended in some peppery Zinfandel to provide added complexity and depth. This robust wine pairs well with big, flavorful dishes like lamb, lasagna and steak and rich chocolate desserts.
